A Scarce Southern Pewter Beaker by Samuel Kilbourn - SOLD
1. Southern American Pewter Beaker by Samuel Kilbourn, Baltimore 1814-1839 a scarce form by a Southern Pewterer. Kilbourn is represented primarily by Plates Dishes and Basins. His hollowware is uncommon. He made pint and quart mugs as well as an extended foot pear form teapot. This beaker is another example of one of his hollowware forms.
This beaker is in near fine condition with a very good “as struck” touchmark on the inside bottom of the beaker. The beaker measures 3 3/8” tall to the rim. Kilbourn had two touchmarks. One has his name spelled Kilbourn the other Kilburn. (ON HOLD)
