An "A" Inspected Gill New York Measure - SOLD

Gill capacity lidless American baluster measure with “A” verification mark. These measures are likely of New York origin and from the last half of the 18th century and beginning of 19th. The handle is “burnt” on meaning it was cast in place like a porringer handle. The linen mark shows clearly at the upper handle junction
The measure is 3 1/8” tall and is in near fine condition. An uncommon size.
