A Quart Taper Sided Mug by Thomas D. Boardman & Sherman Boardman - SOLD
This quart taper-sided mug was made by Thomas D. Boardman and his Brother Sherman Boardman. Mugs of this style were made by this firm C-1810-1830's.
This mug has a ball terminal handle and turned band decoration. The exterior is in very good plus condition. The inside bottom has pitting likely caused by someone exhibiting flowers in the mug "because they look pretty".
The touch mark is near fine and well struck. The mug is 5 11/16" tall to the lip. This is a nice representative example of an 18th century design being made by a 19th century maker.
