A Pennsylvania Tab Handle Porringer by an Unknown Maker

Pennsylvania Tab Handle Porringer by an unknown maker. This porringer has the owner’s initials struck on the face of the ear. The bowl shows lathe marks both on the interior and exterior of the bowl. There is some etching to this inside of the bowl. Overall this is in very good plus condition. The bowl measures 5 ¼” in diameter.

Again, note the entire porringer including the handle is a single casting. I imagine that turning these on the lathe could be a bit tricky as if one tries to finish the handle by taking too deep an cut the turning tool would be jerked from one’s hands and could cause serious injury to the lathe operator.
