A Near Mint William Calder Flower Handle Porringer - SOLD

A near mint pewter porringer by William Calder of Providence, Rhode Island. Calder’s firm was in business from 1817-56. This porringer likely dates before 1840 as the form went out of favor around that time.

This example is in nearly new condition with a super linen mark and a mint touchmark. The bowl measures 4 ¼” in diameter and is as fine an example by this maker as we have ever offered to the public.
