A Scarrce Large Size "IC" New England Porringer - SOLD

There are a sizable variety of "initialed" New England porringers found on the "Crown or Coronet" handles, These include SG, WN, RG, and IC, Both the SG and IC varieties are found on two different sizes. Of these the WN is uncommon however the large size IC is by far the least common of these initial porringers.

We just acquired this fine example of a large iC porringer, both the bowl and handle are larger than the common 4" range. This handle is more like the large SG type. The bowl measures 5 1/8". The porringer is in fine condition with a very pronounced linen mark, The lathe turnings on the back of the bowl are broad and well defined
