A Bright Band Decorated Teapot by Eben Smith - SOLD
Eben Smith worked in Beverly Massachusetts from 1814-56. He worked in the same shop as Israel Trask, in fact the building they used as their store front and shop is still in use.
Smith like Trask produced both cast pewter and pieces made from sheet pewter. They both produced items with “bright cut” engraving as seen on the upper body of this inverted mold teapot.
This pot measures 7 ½” tall to the top of the finial. The pot is in near fine condition with a very few blemishes. The touch is fine as is the engraving. The interior of the teapot is very clean.
