A Pewter Inverted Mold Pewter Teapot by J.B. Woodbury - SOLD
According to Ledlie I. Laughlin's third volume this teapot is likely the product of John Baker Woodbury of Beverly, Massachusetts.
Laughlin believed Woodbury likely got his training with either Israel Trask or Eben Smith. He stated Woodbury worked in Beverly 1830-35 and moved to Philadelphia and worked there 1835-1838.
This inverted mold teapot is in very good condition with a nearly complete impression of his very large eagle touchmark. The teapot measures 6 7/8" tall to the top of the finial. A scarce maker.
