A Matched Pair of Southeastern Pennsylvania Utensils
This matched skimmer and ladle are from Southeastern Pennsylvania and date circa 1860-80's. The blacksmith forged the handles from "round stock" and used little imagination in his work. Yet, the plain design is sturdy and function as well as attractive.
Measuring 19" in length, the pair have nicely formed hanging hooks on the back of the handles. The bowls are riveted to the handles with copper rivets.
In fine condition.
