Pint English Export Taper Sided Mug by Robert Bush & Co. The firm operated in Bristol and likely began operations later in the third quarter of the 18th century and operated until 1793. Based on anecdotal observations the majority to this firms export business was to the New England area.

Many of mugs by this firm have a low fillet. This example has a plain drum. The mug is in near fine condition with a very good touchmark. The mug measures 4 7/16” tall to the lip. It is important to note that while most London pewterers began to use the attention terminal on taper sided export mugs Bristol Pewterers continued to use embryonic bud/ball type terminals on their production.
