18th century Flower Handled English Export Pewter porringer by Hale & Sons, Bristol, c-1780-1800. English pewter porringers are fairly uncommon. Hale had a substantial export business to the United States. Their products included plates, dishes, basins, mugs, tankards, teapots as well as porringers. The metal in their hollowware was generally excellent however the quality of the metal in their flatware was of a far lesser quality.
This porringer is in very good condition with an excellent touch. The bowl measures 4 ½” in diameter.
