An Antique English Export Pewter Broth Bowl by Nathaniel Barber - SOLD
An Export Pewter Broth Bowl by Nathaniel Barber London 1777-1788 This bowl is an attractive form. There are many ideas as to the use of these I believe that these may have been used as slop bowls for tea. Note the turned band strongly resembles the bands found on many 18th century teapots.
Whatever their purpose these bowls are not very common. This example measures 3 1/2" high to the lip and 5 7/8" in diameter. This example is in good condition. (ON HOLD)
